      On the morning of December 13, 2023, the 2023 First China (Gulf Area) Zero Carbon Duct Industry Construction and Development Forum was solemnly opened in the multi-function hall on the second floor of the Alumni Plaza of Shenzhen University.

      Lin Jiaqi, the operation director of Shenzhen Sunduct Industrial Development Co., Ltd., the organizer of the forum, pointed out that sustainable development is an important issue in the current society, and the replacement of traditional galvanized iron sheet ducts with innovative plates is an important measure. Sunduct has been deeply engaged in the field of ducts for more than 20 years, and has made the first shot in the field of zero-carbon composite ducts.On the forum, he also brought a video message from the president of Italian P3 company.       Afterwards, Zhuang Junhan, the president of Shenzhen Hospital Managers Association, also addressed the conference.President Zhuang said: In 2023, with the acceleration of the global low-carbon development process as China proposed the "dual carbon" goal, HVAC system, as a well-deserved energy-consuming large household in the building, is closely related to the realization of the goal of "carbon neutrality". Its energy conservation and consumption reduction has obviously become a major event related to the international people's livelihood.The largest energy consumption in the building system is air conditioning, accounting for 40%, and some even reach 60%. Duct is an important accessory in air conditioning equipment. To achieve carbon compliance, efficient and energy-saving composite duct has great potential.

      Later, in the keynote speech session in the morning, three industry experts were invited to share their topics with everyone.

      Zeng Zuming, the founding president of Shenzhen HVAC Industry Association, shared his views from four aspects: the history of the development of the duct industry, the current situation of the development of the duct industry, the application of air conditioning ducts, and the development trend of the duct industry.President Zeng Zuming believed that in terms of national policies, market demand, installation convenience, service life, etc., non-metallic composite ducts will lead the development of duct technology in the future.Due to their light weight, aesthetic appearance, durability, and other characteristics, non-metallic composite ducts have advantages that traditional ducts cannot match, especially in energy conservation, health, noise, installation, maintenance, space saving, etc., making them an ideal alternative to traditional ducts.At the same time, President Zeng also put forward new requirements for the duct industry: green construction, green construction and prefabrication.These can be achieved through AI technology and BIM intelligent manufacturing.Mr. Zeng Zuming elaborated on the importance and ways of urban development and green low-carbon buildings from the national strategic height of the three elements of the future city and the realization of "carbon peak" and "carbon neutrality".He also mentioned that with the guidance of the dual carbon goals, the main building systems in the future will be green, healthy, ultra-low energy consumption, prefabricated buildings, and dual carbon cities will be the biggest driving force of future cities.

      Dr. Gong Deren, a doctor of Shanghai Jiaotong University and a senior engineer of the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics of Shanghai Jiaotong University, shared his thoughts on the next step of cooperation with Sunduct in material innovation research and intelligent application.Dr. Gong emphasized that material innovation is crucial to the development of the duct industry, and the technology and experience in the fields of aerospace, rail transportation, and shipping can bring many inspirations and innovative ideas to the duct industry.At the forum, Dr. Gong proposed that the new material research direction of Shanghai Jiaotong University and Sunduct can start from the research of multi-functional coatings and the application of AI, and the research and development of intelligent unmanned cleaning equipment. By fully utilizing the talent advantages, professional advantages, and platform advantages of Shanghai Jiaotong University, Dr. Gong proposed to carry out joint research on the localization and system digitalization of composite duct materials with Sunduct, and transform scientific and technological achievements into industrialization, providing new ideas and possibilities for the future digital duct.As Dr. Gong said, "one generation of materials, one generation of equipment, and a small duct have great potential."

      Sun Weidong, Executive President of Shenzhen HVAC Association and CEO of Shenzhen Sunduct Industrial Development Co., Ltd., analyzed the "neglected field". She pointed out that although air ducts are an important component of building HVAC systems, they are often overlooked in the development of the entire industry.President Sun said that although air ducts are a small field, they are like a network, like the lungs of a city, and like the capillaries of the human body, affecting our breathing.Traditional air duct materials have many unresolved pain points, such as difficult to clean dirt, hidden bacterial hotbeds, high energy consumption of insulation materials, easy aging, difficult to remove, and serious pollution of insulation materials, which increase the burden on the earth. Therefore, in recent years, people have put forward higher requirements for the environmental protection and sustainability of air duct materials.From the perspective of future development trends, the new composite air duct has a market of hundreds of billions of yuan. The future is coming, and I hope that more entrepreneurs will participate in it, win-win cooperation and common development!
